Easy 3 Ingredient Edible Marshmallow Slime (Not Only For Kids)
Another day, another fun little project to do at home, with or without your kids (if you have a sweet & playful tooth 😉). This simple recipe for edible slime only needs the 3 base ingredients of marshmallows, coconut oil and cornflour, but you can add food coloring and icing sugar if you want it more colorful and sweet! (I am seeing unicorn slime in the future my friends)
- Marshmallows (I used one 300g/ 10 1/2 oz bag)
- 2 Tbsp Coconut Oil
- 2-3 Cups of Cornflour (depending on how sticky it is)
Step #1 - Melt your marshmallows + Add food coloring if desired
You can do this easily in the microwave, but ours is broken, so we had to resort to the stove - works just as well. At this point I also added food coloring, since I was steering it anyway.
Always have your little helper on hand 😁
Step #2 - Add coconut oil
I transferred the melted marshmallows to the mixing bowl and added 2 tbsp of coconut oil. Mix thoroughly.
Step #3 - Add cornflour
I first added a cup of cornflour to the mixture still in the bowl and gave it a steer, and then added some of the cornflour to the table, before turning it all out to knead on there. At this point, keep on adding cornflour to hands and dough until it stops being sticky. We washed hands in the middle of the procedure - and Emma her clothes for that matter 😀
I told you it was a bit messy half way through 😀
Step #4 Taste it!
The taste-test was a full success! Now I just have to supervise and hide it, when not playing or it will be gone up in thin air, ie. Emma's tummy!
